Tiny Talk Tuesday

Welcome to Tiny Talk Tuesday. Here's what Allison, age 5 and Daniel, age 2 had to say this past week:

Since school started last week, a lot of conversation has revolved around that topic. Here are a couple conversation we had about lunch at school:

Allison: Mommy, why does the menu change every day?
Me: To keep it interesting for the students so they're not eating the same thing every day.
Allison: But at Ikea they don't change it. (that's the only other place she could think of where you eat in a cafeteria like setting).

I keep telling Allison that she can either bring lunch or buy lunch at school. So far she has only brought lunch. Today, she said this to me:
"I don't ever want to eat the lunch they have there. I don't like the blue tray. I don't like the rice they have. The boy next to me was slurping it off the tray."

Now for some Daniel talk. I don't usually have much to write even though he does talk a lot - mainly when we are at home because he is scared of people in general (among other things). But his favorite word is in the following conversation:
Daniel (while sitting on the couch at home): Let's go!
Me: Where are we going?
Daniel: Bubber's house!
He is obsessed with the word Bubber. I don't know why. He tries to work it into every conversation. Allison used to say it a lot last year -bubber is actually a material she would play with in preschool - kinda like flubber (if you know what that is) or silly putty. It just has a funny name!

That's all for this week. For more Tiny Talk, check out NotBefore7!
