Our Summer Travels to Maryland -Day 6 & 7

On day 6 and 7 we traveled to Bethany Beach, Delaware to visit Jeff's dad and Jane. After many "Are we there yets???" we arrived at Bethany and the kids were very excited to see Papou. It had been 15 months since we last saw them but Daniel recognized them because we often talk on Skype. You can see the smiles on everyone's faces:

The kids had fun playing a tune on the piano in Papou's office:
Then we went to downtown Bethany for lunch at Five Guys and a stroll along the boardwalk.

Next it was off to Papou and Grandma Jane's house where the kids enjoyed the swing on the front porch:
But they wanted a faster swing so we walked down to the playground where they had a blast. The last time we visited them, Allison had just turned 2. Here's Papou pushing her on the swing in 2006:
And pushing her again three years later...
Daniel enjoyed the park as well:
The next day we took a drive down to Ocean City to show the kids the "big" boardwalk with all the rides, games and junk food. My camera battery ended up running out of charge so we had to take pictures with Jeff's phone. Here's Jeff and his dad on the boardwalk with the kids:
We went in a couple arcades and Allison had a blast (as did I) playing skeeball and some other arcade games. I can't believe skeeball still only costs a quarter per game. I figured it would be up to a $1 by now. Then the kids went on a couple kiddie rides. I had to explain to them that it's not like Disney where you get to ride all the rides you want to for free - we had to pay for each ride. The pictures of the kids on the rides came out a little blurry since we were using a phone camera but a few turned out looking kind of neat:

Next up...Day 8...a day in Annapolis, MD on Papou and Grandma Jane's sailboat...to be continued...
