Our Summer Travels to Maryland - Day 8

Yes, we've made it to Day 8 folks! I knew we did a lot on this trip but didn't realize how much until I started writing these posts. So Day 8 was a fun one. We went with Jeff's dad and Jane to Annapolis, MD. After the two-hour drive, we arrived at the Annapolis Yacht Club where we dined for lunch. I got my fill of their delicious cream of crab soup (they make the best cream of crab soup!) followed by a Caesar salad with a crab cake on top. Gotta take advantage of all the crabs while in Maryland. Here are some pictures from lunch:
After our tummies were full, it was time for a little sailing. Last time we were in Maryland two years ago, Allison didn't want to go on the boat. This time she couldn't wait! The kids put on their life jackets and away we went on an 1 1/2 hour sail (actually, we didn't really sail, just motored since there was no wind) to the Severn River bridge and back. Here's a picture of the boat:

When captain Papou got tired, he handed over the helm to Captain Allison:
Captain Allison managed to keep us all afloat and not crash into anything. In the meantime, Daniel and I were enjoying the ride:

Next it was Captain Daniel's turn at the helm:
Here are a couple more pictures of our adventure:
After our sail, we grabbed some dinner in Annapolis and then it was time to head back to Grandma and Papa's house. We said goodbye to Papou and Grandma Jane. Hopefully they will come visit us in Florida.

Next up...Day 9...a visit to Aunt Anita's house in Damascus, MD...to be continued...
