A Kid at Heart

One thing that I really miss about living in Maryland are the snowball stands. For some reason, they're not popular here in Florida because I have yet to find one. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and purchase a snow cone maker. Now, I am quite picky about my sno-cone/snowballs. The ice has to be just right the consistency so I was a bit hesitant about what to buy. I looked on-line and found a few but I still wasn't sure which one would meet my criteria. So I was shopping at Target today and I found a snow cone maker. I figured I could bring it home and try it out and if I didn't like it, It could easily be returned. I also bought a pack of syrups (cherry, blue raspberry and watermelon) and a set of silicone sno-cone holders. I brought it home, hooked it up and I couldn't have been more pleased with outcome! The ice was perfect and it was so easy. The box came with some disposable paper holders but I used the silicone ones instead. They are much less messy - no dripping! While Daniel napped, Allison and I enjoyed our cherry snow cones on the patio. I don't know who was more excited, me or her. Okay, it was me...
