Clean Up Time

Our neighborhood has its annual yard sale next weekend so it was time to clean out the house and see what we can get rid of. Why is it so hard to part with things? Seems Jeff has a harder time with it than me. And then there is Allison. Every time she sees something of hers that we want to sell she suddenly decides she wants to play with it again. There's only so much room in the house, we need to get rid of stuff, otherwise there will be no room to bring in more stuff that we will end up selling in a few years. Funny how that works. So we're parting with a lot of the baby stuff - bouncy seats , bassinet, swings, lots and lots of clothes, baby toys and rattles, even the infant car seat. Yes, I'm finally realizing that we no longer have a little baby in our house (and he was most likely the last!). But I'm okay to be done with that phase. Babies are fun, but the first year is definitely a tough one. Not that it's any easier right now (12-18 months is a VERY difficult age), it's just a lot more fun because they are starting to learn so much about their surroundings and they even start to talk! So much to look forward to, no time to look back. Bye bye babies, hello toddlers!
