Here's what Allison, age 4, had to say this past week.
Allison: I want to use the chalkboard thing that grandma gave me for my birthday.
Me: We need to buy some chalk for it.
Allison: Maybe we can go to Aunt Bonnie's and get the chalk (she played with sidewalk chalk when we were in California)
Me: That's quite far. It would be cheaper to just go to the store and buy some.
Allison: Well, she could go to the store and fly to our house and give it to us. (and she probably would if we asked!)

Allison: I didn't want to poop so I told my poop to stay in for ten seconds. Then I went potty and I told my poop "Okay, you can come out now!" and it did! (yes, I couldn't stop laughing after that one)

Allison: If you can't walk anywhere and fly anywhere and drive anywhere then it's your home right?
Me: Yup.
Allison: I noticed that when I was a baby too.

Allison: I wish Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Michael could live in Florida too.
Me: Me too but I don't think that will ever happen.
Allison: Yeah, because Uncle Michael doesn't like hot.
Me: Maybe so.
Allison: I know! Maybe Aunt Bonnie can live here and Uncle Michael can live in California. That'll work right?
Me: No.
Allison: Why not?
Me: Because they are married and love each other and want to see each other.
Allison. Oh.
