Tiny Talk Tuesday

Here's what Allison, age 3 3/4 had to say this past week:

I was eating a grapefruit for breakfast and Allison says to me:
"Mom, when I get bigger, I want to try grapefruit."
Me: "You can try it now."
Allison: No, I just don't like it now."
Me: "How do you know, you've never tried it."
Allison: "No, I want to try it when I'm five."
Me: "Okay, I'll put it on my calendar."

Allison: Mom, what are you eating?
Me: Smoked Salmon. It's a type of fish.
Allison: That's not a real fish.
Me: Yes it is.
Allison: But not a real fish with eyes.
Me: It once was!

Allison was all excited because we were going to my parents for a Passover Seder and she got to wear her pretty dress. However, I also dressed up and when she saw me all dressed up too she said:
"Mom, do I look prettier?"
Me: "Prettier than what"
Allison: "Than you?"
Me: "Do you want to look prettier than me?"
Allison: "Yes"
(she's way too young for this!!!)

Funny! We had Salmon last night, and Audrey asked what the fish was made of. We said, "fish" she said, "no what was it before it was fish?"

LOL! Loved the "when I am 5". Oh we lived with that the ENTIRE summer last year..."I'll do that when I am 5". K is now 5, so we'll see if she does this summer. Cute Cute.

Saw Gabe Venezi.ano performing at toby's last night. he is back in this area working with Megan St.ewart; Julie Sim.ms; Susan Gre.en - Megan and Julie pregnant with baby #1.

My 5 year old doesn't like meat... or so he thinks. He just doesn't know what he's eating. If he asks if chicken is meat or - my favorite - if meatloaf is meat :) we quickly change the subject. Once it is labeled as meat there is no getting him to eat it. Well, maybe when he turns 6. haha :)
