Eight Random Things

My friend Mary at NotBefore7 tagged me to share eight random things about myself so here we go...

1) Back in middle school and high school I used to have a rather large collection of TV Guides (boxes and boxes worth). For some reason, I was obsessed with TV guides and I thought they might be worth something someday (which is silly because I had done the crossword in each and everyone of them which would have made them pretty much worthless).

2) I have never been to Europe and I have no desire to go. I've also never been on a cruise and have no desire to go on one.

3) In high school, I listened to hip/hop and rap music. Of course, back then it was much different than today's hip/hop and rap music.

4) I HATE being late. I am always early for everything. Having two children has made this a bit challenging but I've managed to still be on time, if not early, for most things.

5) I don't do well in the front passenger seat of a car. For some reason, when I'm not in control of the vehicle, I think we are going to hit the vehicle ahead of us even though we are far far away. I tend to apply the imaginary brake on the right side of the vehicle. This drives Jeff nuts.

6) I don't like tuna fish. I wish I liked tuna fish but for some reason it just doesn't appeal to me.

7) When I was in fourth grade, I had a pair of shoes that looked like Reebok's but were not, and the kids at school nicknamed me "fake Reebok". In fifth grade my mom bought me a pair of pink Reebok's (yes real ones) after I begged for them for months. Unfortunately, we had moved to a new house and a I went to a new school so I was never able to redeem myself.

8) I have been to or driven through 29 of the 50 states in America. Next week it will be 30 when we drive to New Orleans and drive through Mississippi (I've never been to Mississippi before!)
