Here's what Allison, age 3 had to say this past week. She was full of conversation!
Me: An octogan has eight sides
Allison: Just like an octopus has eight legs
Me: That's right!
Allison: That's so smart I am!

Allison (while walking into school): Roads are for cars, sidewalks are for boy and girls and tricycles and grass is for dogs (glad we got that all figured out)

After a night of Daniel not sleeping much, I dressed him in a green and white striped shirt that has the word "Sleepyhead" on it. Here's the conversation I had with Allison about the shirt:
Allison: Why is Daniel in that shirt?
Me: Because it says sleepyhead and he didn't sleep much last night (nor did I!)
Allison: But I don't like it, it's too ugly. (when did she become a fashion expert?)

While making cupcakes together:
Allison: And licking the beater is MY job!

I was putting the clothes from the washer into the dryer when Allison traipses in the laundry room wearing her princess dress up clothes. I dropped a piece of clothing and asked Alison to pick it up and put it in the dryer to which she replies , "Sure, my majesty" (she was really getting into the spirit of the princess outfit!)

Ok - the explanation of the grass, sidewalk and road is my favorite! So funny!
I agree with Mary, I love it when they state the obvious with such conviction.
Very funny!
Licking the beater is the best job ever!
