Random Thoughts

Allison and I were looking at a clock today...a real clock, not one of those fancy dancy ones with digital numbers. She asked me what number the small hand was on, so I said "3" then she asked me what number the big hand was on so I said "10". I told her that meant is was 3:50. She said, "But there is no "50" on the clock. So how do you explain to a three year old that on a clock, 10=50??? I guess the answer is, you don't. That's a difficult concept for a three-year old. Maybe when she's four she'll be able to understand that one...

The thing that makes me smile the most during the day is when Allison makes Daniel crack up laughing because she is doing something silly. Yesterday she was spinning in a circle, holding one of Daniel's toys and yelling the word "Weeeee!" He couldn't stop laughing. I think I'm funny but I can't make him laugh like that, but his big sister certainly can!

I have a few recipes to post, I know I've gotten behind on posting my recipes. Jeff was making fun of me yesterday for having a blog named Picture This Dinner when I mainly write about the kids, not dinners. I reminded him the website name was his idea, i just decided to use it for my blog, to have some sort of theme, even if I don't focus on that theme too much. Not sure what I'm getting at here. The point is, I hope to post a couple more recipes this week - I haven't forgotten about my theme!

I'll end this post with a picture. We took Daniel in the pool for the first time this past weekend. He didn't really show much expression, he didn't cry and he didn't smile. Guess he was just confused by the whole ordeal. Soon enough he will realize the pool is fun! Here's the pic...
