Daniel - 6 Months

Hard to believe, but Daniel turned 6 months old yesterday. I remember Allison at this age and I just loved it. They can't crawl or walk yet but they are very alert and responsive. He went to the doctor last Tuesday and here's how he measured: Head size - 17 1/2 cm, Height - 26.1", Weight - 15lbs 1 oz. So he's a tad taller and thinner than Allison was at this age. He's almost able to sit up unassisted, but he sometimes falls over when in that position. For some reason, he likes to arch his back, which doesn't really help out when trying to learn to sit up on your own.

His sleeping has been pretty good lately. We've had a few nights where he's slept from 8-6 but every now and then he will wake up around 3am. Either way, I can't complain. He's also been making some interesting sounds. Sometimes he sounds like a monster - I think he picked up that sound from Allison. I'll try and get that one on video and post it because it's pretty funny. But he definitely loves to use his voice. Maybe he will be as chatty as Allison.

The one thing he still hates is being in the car when it's dark out. He screams his head off every time. I'm hoping this doesn't last too much longer, especially since the clocks are changing next weekend and it's going to get darker earlier (and we're going on a 13 hour car ride next month).

He's enjoying playing with his baby toys and with Allison. When she hears him up in the morning, she immediately runs into his room and steps up on the crib and sings "good Morning Daniel." They are so cute together.

Happy 6 months Daniel!
