Most days I ask Allison what she learned in school that day and she usually says she doesn't remember but as the day goes on, I'll start hearing all about the exciting things she learned. Yesterday, it appears they talked about sports - different kinds of sports. Maybe it's national fitness week or something. Who knows. So she decided to draw a picture about different sports. On the front of the page she drew this:I guess ballet is considered a sport. I was kind of impressed with her drawing of the ballet dancer. I noticed the door in the lower left hand corner and said "I don't think the ballerina will fit through that door." to which Allison responded "No, the door is far away, that's why it's so small". Perspective! Silly me, how was I to know she would know about distance and size at age 5. That pink thing in the lower left hand corner is a rug with a flower on it. Not sure what that has to do with ballet though. Also not sure what is hanging from the ceiling - perhaps a chandelier.
On the other side of the paper, Allison drew this:Apparently cheerleading is a sport too - who knew? And you have to sort of look like the devil in order to play soccer. I just love her drawings!
