Jungle Island

Since Jeff was once again in school this weekend, my mom and I planned to take the kids to a place in Miami called Jungle Island. They were offering free admission to Lion Country Safari season pass holders so we decided to go and check it out. We had a fun time checking out the animals. Afterwards we went to lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company and walked around an outdoor area called Bayside. Here's a few pictures of our day. I'll post some more on Facebook.

A spider monkey eating a cookie. The cool part was that we were in the confines of their cage so we could get up close and personal (to a certain extent of course).

Cool shot of a gaggle of flamingos

Watching the employees score a touchdown with an alligator

Nice view of Miami from across Biscayne Bay

Their favorite part...the playground of course. Gotta love when you travel an hour to get somewhere and all the kids want to do is play on the playground. Could have driven 5 minutes for that!

And finally, Daniel and I at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company
