My Little Artist

As most of you know, Allison loves to draw pictures. She makes so many pictures that I can't possible keep all of them. Although I do keep everything she makes at school. Not sure what I'll do with it all but hopefully I can put into a book or something one day. At school, they have what is called "Learning Centers" where they have a choice of different activities. One of these activities is to work on their "journal". They are to draw a picture of something they like and then write a sentence under the picture that reads "I like..." They are supposed to sound out the word in order to try and write it. I felt her latest journal was rather cute so I took some pictures to post here.

This first one "I like ocean" shows a jellyfish and some other sea creatures. I'm assuming she had some help with how to spell "ocean" because that definitly doesn't spell like it sounds.

The second page is "I like cat". (she probably wishes we had one instead of a dog)

Next up is "I like O" . Allison said it's supposed to be "I like my pool". so I said "that, makes sense. But what's this blue hump in the middle" to which she replied, "Oh, that's the snake". Yes, we have had a snake in our pool before (more than one in fact!).

At home, Allison decided to draw some picture of dinosaurs. Here is her favorite dinosaur, the T-Rex:

And my personal favorite, "the stompasaurus". For some reason she really thinks the "stompasaurus" existed. Who knows, maybe it did!
