Holiday Highlights

The kids have been enjoying the holiday break. Here are some of the highlights

Last Monday we went to a cookie decorating playdate at my friend Pam's house:

We've been celebrating Hanukkah by lighting the candles every night. This is the first year we let Allison light the candles. She is even starting to learn the Hebrew prayer. One night, Allison received an apron so she can help me cook and Daniel received some talking Mouse-k-ears from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

The kids also opened presents on Christmas day:

Daniel's favorite character

A purse from Papou and Grandma Jane

Daniel enjoying the new purse

Books from Nana

Allison also received a child size putter and Daniel was given a set of snoopy plastic golf clubs from Papou and Grandma Jane. It was all good until Daniel decided to whack Allison in the head with one of his clubs. Suffice to say, we've put them away in a safe spot and will bring them back out when he is a little older and won't hit his sister with them. I suppose that could be anywhere from 3 months to ten years.

Daniel Also received a new favorite bear from Uncle Bob

We surprised the kids with a new playhouse. They're really enjoying playing in it especially since the weather has been beautiful and we love being outside this time of year.

This weekend was also full of fun activities. But I'll have to continue it in a new post because this one is already long enough. Stay tuned...
