Tiny Talk Tuesday

Here's what Allison, age 4 had to say this past week

Allison: (while looking at the computer screen) I like that picture.
Me: I'm going to publish it on my blog
Allison: On your blog and not on Facebook?
Me: How do you know about Facebook?
Allison: Because I always make facebooks (you know, the kind where you draw lots of faces!)

While talking about the potential hurricane headed our way:
Me: We have to put all the shutters on the windows. (which we didn't end up having to do)
Allison: But can we go outside?
Me: Not during the storm. It's going to be very fast wind and a lot of rain.
Allison: And it's going to blow us right away into China maybe?

We store Riley's food in our laundry room but his food and water bowl are in our bathroom so we fill up a smaller container to keep some food in so we don't have to run to the laundry room every time Riley need to be fed. Allison filled up this container all by herself and she was so proud of herself. She said:
"I can almost do everything an engineer does! Mommy, I want to be an engineer like Daddy when I grow up. (just what the world needs, another engineer)"

And last, but certainly not least...

Allison to Daddy (who's putting on deodorant): Why do you always put that on?
Daddy: So that I don’t smell.
Allison: But that doesn’t make your poop not smell.
