Here's what Allison, age 3 1/2, had to say this week:
While walking through Petsmart:
Allison: If Riley (our dog) runs away to a new home, then we can get a fish!

After I pick Allison up from school I always ask her how her day went. Last Thursday we had this conversation:
Allison: The boy called me a little girl
Me: That's okay, you are a little girl
Allison: He just didn't know my name. I think I"ll tell him my name so he will know it. Ok?
Me: Ok.

After going potty:
Allison: Let me wash my hands first. That's the epidermis right? (okay, it floored me when she said that word. Apparently the teachers at school teach them to wash their "epidermis" after going potty.)

That's great! I think I'll teach Audrey "epidermis", don't you love it when they use those big words??
Those are really cute conversations!
I am telling you that a fish is SO much easier to take care of.
