It Finally Clicked!

Allison had swim class again yesterday and I couldn't beleive how well it went. She got in the water and the instructor had her on her back, she laid perfectly still, let go of the instructor and then floated, and floated some more and kept on floating like she had been doing it for years. My jaw dropped. The other parents commented what a good floater she was and I was said "No, you don't understand, we've been trying to get her to do this for months!" I think going to my moms pool on Sunday for four hours helped build her confidence BIG TIME. She didn't really float on Sunday but she learned to jump into the pool and go under which we think made her feel really comfortable in the water. So everytime the instructor put Allison on her back to float, she did it and stayed like that for as long as the instructor wanted her to. She was very proud of herself and I told her how proud I was of her. We came home, ate dinner and then made big ice cream sundaes to celebrate!
