Daniel - 9 Months

Well technically Daniel turns 9 months old this Sunday but we are going out of town so I'm publishing his 9 month update today. The biggest change in the past month is that he is now crawling and trying to pull up on everything. Having a baby that crawls is a whole other world, but having a baby that crawls who has a big sister is even more interesting. Allison has always been wonderful at sharing so I figured there wouldn't be too many problems when Daniel tried to grab her things. Boy was I wrong! She's constantly pulling and yanking things out of his hands that he has taken from her and she gets upset when he messes up things that she has built (or is in the process of building). I guess that's what siblings do.

Daniel has 8 wonderful teeth and loves to eat most anything - zwieback toast, Gerber puffs, fruits, veggies, even some turkey breast. The only thing he makes the "i don't like this" face at is green beans and pineapple. As I said last month, I really look forward to being able to feed him more types of food, which I should be able to do soon (we'll see what the doctor says at his 9 month checkup next week).

Daniel also loves to babble and talk but when we have in the high chair he tends to scream, quite loud, with a very sharp pitch. It's rather unpleasant. Apparently I do not feed him quick enough. Hopefully this screaming will end soon because Jeff and I are losing our hearing (what's left of it at least). I have a friend who's son did the same thing around the same age and it only lasted about a month so I'm hoping it won't last much longer (but you just never know!).

Daniel loves when I hold his hands and he can stand up. He gets quite a giggle out of that, especially if the dog or Allison is behind him and he thinks they are going to "get" him. I'll have to try and get that one on video because it's very cute.

I can't believe we're only 3 months away from his first birthday. I'm trying to enjoy and appreciate every moment of my little one's first year!
