Swim Class Update

Allison had swim class again today and Jeff was there to help encourage her to float. Today's class was much better than Tuesday's class. She still tried to turn over quite a few times but she did actually manage to float for a couple seconds! When she did, all of us parents watching erupted in cheers and clapping. It was such a good feeling. She was also able to participate in playtime and she had a blast. She was all excited and thought she was going to get a ribbon but I told her she had to float for a little bit longer before she gets a ribbon. She was sad for a minute but then I told her she could get a lollipop and she was excited again. Amazing how easy it is to make a child happy. Hopefully next week she will continue trying to float, we'll have to wait and see...

Hey girl - it is always so hard to watch them struggle. I am glad it went better the next day. HOnestly, I can't say I agree with the instructor, but it seems to have worked out for Allison in this situation, so that is good. YOu have to know what your kid can handle.

I hope she continues to enjoy it and have fun. I am sure swim skills are quite necessary in your neck of the woods ;)
