Well we're back from our 6 day trip to Orlando and we had a great time, despite a couple maladies that I'll tell you about in this blog. On Saturday we went to Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) and my mom drove up to come to the park with us. I hadn't been there in years and it's certainly changed a lot. It's also a lot different when you go there with kids. Unfortunately the playhouse disney show wasn't open but I'm taking Allison to it in March near our house so that's okay. But she was able to meet a couple of her favorite characters. Annie and Leo from Little Einsteins: On Sunday we went to Epcot and that was truly a great day. I also hadn't been there in quite some time and I was impressed with how kid-friendly it has become. There is plenty there for the kids, so much in fact that we didn't even get to it all. We had lunch in Norway with the princesses which Allison just loved. Here are a couple pics:
Oh yeah, Daniel was there too, he got a nice smooch from a princess, as evidenced in this picture:
On Tuesday we were planning to go to Disney, so I got up nice and early and while I was in the shower I heard Allison yelling and crying. Turn out she had spit up in the bed a little bit (she doesn't like to be dirty). So I got her changed and we all finished getting ready. We got on the bus to go to the park and after about 2 minutes, everything in her little belly came out through her mouth and nose and landed all over her lap. We decided it would be best to go back to the hotel at that point. So we went back and she slept for about 2 hours, woke up, went potty and was good as new. We ended up going to the playground at the hotel and spending the day at Downtown Disney which was within walking distance from our hotel. All in all it turned out to be a great day although Allison had one little accident on the playground when she fell and her head landed on a metal bar on the stroller. She has a nice mark on her head now which hopefully go away soon. Here's a picture of her talking to grandma while at the playground:
Since we didn't make it to Disney on Tuesday, we decided to go on Wednesday, which is the day we were also driving home. It actually was a great day to go, we hardly waited in any lines. We took the bus and got to the park 5 minutes before it opened. I've never been there to see it actually open and it was really neat. They do a little show and then we got to throw some Mickey confetti. Once inside the park, we managed to do a couple new things: Allison went on the Goofy roller coaster - her first coaster! And she requested to sit in the front seat! What a brave little one. Jeff was so thrilled to finally be able to take one of his kids on a roller coaster. Here's a picture, although Allison is so small you can hardly see her:
