Tiny Talk Tuesday

Welcome to Tiny Talk! Here's what Allison, age 4 had to say this past week:

While on our way to a playdate
Allison: Maybe Ian will be there.
Me: Maybe, we'll see. He's been sick. He had pneumonia. Can you say pneumonia?
Allison: Pneumonia. That's Spanish for being sick.

While trying to decide what shew wants to be when she grows up
Allison: I want to be all three. A teacher, an engineer and a mommy just like you. (awww)

We aren't usually out when it's dark out but on Sat. night after we went out to dinner I really needed to get gas so we went to the gas station and it was dark out so Allison says to me:
Allison: Why do people come out at night?
Me; Why wouldn't they?
Allison: They should all be sleeping.

Allison: When I grow up, I don't need to do everything because I'll have a husband and he can cook right?
Me: Yes, well you can both cook.
Allison: Just like you and daddy?
Me: (laughing) Does daddy cook?
Allison: Well, he did one day but he left the pan on the stove right? Allison: Oh yeah, what's that called?
Me: Lazy!
(this happened about six months ago when I was really sick - Jeff made a wonderful pasta dinner but the next morning I found the pot on the stove with the pasta sauce caked on. I can't believe the things she remembers. Anyway, guess I should just be thankful he made a homemade meal for us!)

That's all for this week. For more Tiny Talk, check out NotBefore7!

I love the, "they should be sleeping" comment. We drove past a park the other week just as it was getting dark and Audrey said a very similar thing. It makes sense in their world.
