We went to a festival near our house this weekend and Allison had her face painted for the first time. Jeff and I always had our hesitations about getting Allison's face painted. We felt it would look like too much make-up and we just weren't ready to accept that fact that our three year old would have make-up on. Well, at the festival there was a face painter and Allison really wanted it done. Jeff and I agreed she could get something painted on her arm. Jeff walked away to go get something and it was Allison's turn. The face painter asked Allison what she wanted and of course she said, "I want to look like a princess!" (what 3 year old girl doesn't). So the face painter painted her face like a princess. When all was said and done, she looked pretty cute. Jeff came back and said "I thought we were doing her arm." I just looked at him and said "Yeah, that didn't happen." So in the end, even though we didn't really want it done, it made Allison smile and no harm was done. Isn't that what it's all about anyway? Here's a couple pictures:
