Allison has quite the imagination. She's always making up stories and songs and has a great time playing with her Little People and other toys. For the past few weeks, she's been talking about how there's going to be a "BIG show" that everyone is going to come and watch and she kept singing a new song she learned at school called "One Small Voice". So I figured it was just another one of her make-up situations. Well, when I took her to school on Tuesday, her teacher said, "Don't forget the big holiday show is next Wednesday night. It's at one of the local high schools and the kids have been practicing for weeks." What??...a holiday show...there really is going to be a show? And here I thought Allison was just making up this whole big show idea. I really need to pay more attention to what she tells me because this isn't the first time I thought she was making something up and it was real. It should be an interesting show. A bunch of three and four-year olds singing songs that have nothing to do with the holidays (since the school is non-denominational, they don't celebrate Hanukkah or Christmas or any of the religious holidays.) I can't wait to see this show. I'm curious to see how Allison will do up on stage in front of a large audience because at her age, I would have curled up into a ball and hid. However, as we all know, Allison is not shy and loves to perform. Let's just hope she doesn't fall asleep in the car on the way to the show!
