Preparing for the Arrival of Allison and Daniel's First Cousin!

My sister Bonnie and her husband Michael came into town this weekend for one last visit before little dumpling arrives in November. I decided it would be a great opportunity to throw them their first baby shower. Michael was in on the planning but it was a surprise for Bonnie. Luckily, a lot of Michael's family lives in the area (even though he didn't grow up here). His two brothers and their family attended along with his mom and his mom's sister and her husband (who happened to be visiting from California). Also is attendance were my mom and dad, my moms sister Ruth, her husband Bob, and my dad's sister Esther and her husband Allen. It turned out to be just the right amount of people for a fun get together at our house. Michael has one niece, Rebecca (18 months), and two twin nephews - Aiden and Brandon (9 months) so of course Allison had a blast playing with all the little ones. Here are some pictures of the shower, and yes, Bonnie actually let me take pictures of her and her beautiful belly!

Bonnie and Aunt Ruth
There's the belly (don't shoot me Bonnie for posting this - it really is beautiful!)
Presenting...yummy food! (I know, I'm such a dork)

Crystal, Brett and the adorable twins

Rebecca (such a cutie!) and her cousin Aiden

Time to open the gifts...of course they had two little ones eager to help out

For the Jews out there, these are finger puppets for the ten plagues during passover (gift from my mom)
Gee, wonder who gave them this one...
Look , Daniel is interacting!
A handmade blanket from Michael's mom
A picture from Michael's childhood being passed down to the next generation
Daniel enjoying the dessert
Look at all the cousins my nephew can look forward to playing with!

Bonnie received many adorable outfits so the baby will not have to run around naked. She also received lots of other great gifts to transport back to California. We can't wait for the little guy to arrive!
