Tiny Talk Tuesday

It's been a while since I've posted a Tiny Talk. It's not for lack of conversation - anyone that knows Allison, knows the girl can talk! I just haven't been able to write anything down and I have an awful memory for details. Daniel is talking up a storm too but he pretty much repeats everything Allison says, and that's no joke. I'm going to start calling him mini-Allison. It's a good thing she has an expansive vocabulary because it has definitely been helping him create sentences and express his thoughts.

I really don't have much this week for Tiny Talk either, just one little conversation Allison and I had regarding tv. She's trying to understand live tv vs. tivo. It is an almost impossible concept to explain to any child, let alone an adult. She wanted me to speed through the commercials on a show she was watching and I explained that I couldn't do that because she was watching "live" tv to which she responded "Mommy, is live tv really alive or is it not alive?" A very valid question given my choice of words, especially at an age when she's trying to figure out what things are considered "living" in our world. So I guess the answer would be, no, live tv is not really alive, even though it is live. My brain hurts...

Ah.. tivo, confusing kids everywhere. My kids don't get why they can't go to other people's houses and find their shows on the tv. What a cute conversation!

We have yet to dive into the world of tivo...so I got nothing for you. But the whole "live TV" would be tough, cause technically it isn't even happening live, like a live broadcast...sheesh.

Happy TTT!
