Splashing Around

Continuing with the pool theme of my last post...today was a perfect day for a swim and since our pool has finally warmed up enough to where I don't scream while getting in, we went for a dip. Jeff's mom is in town this week and we all enjoyed some time in the pool. The best part was taking pictures with our (somewhat) new waterproof camera (birthday gift for me). Once we got used to bringing a camera into the pool (and realizing that is was made especially for situations like this) we had fun practicing taking pictures in the water. We were trying to get a picture of Allison mid jump but that wasn't the easiest thing. We finally put it on the point and shoot setting, where you can take about 5 pictures really quick in a row and we were able to get a shot. You can see how she jumps belly first:

While Allison was busy jumping into the pool, Daniel was hanging out in his whale raft:
He really enjoyed playing with the waterfall. This is a huge improvement for him over last year when he screamed every time we put him in the pool:

Allison also enjoyed the waterfall:
I also tried experimenting with taking a picture with the camera behind the waterfall, but it didn't have too much of an effect on the picture - it was just a little blurry:
Nana (Jeff's mom) also enjoyed spending time with Daniel in the pool:
Then we experimented with putting the camera underwater and taking pictures - In this pictures, Allison is above water but the camera is underwater:
Then our little photographer (Allison) took control of the camera and took some pictures of me and Jeff
And here's a couple of other fun shots we took:
We can't wait to get back in the pool again!
