Girls Day Out

Allison and I had a mommy/daughter day on Sunday. I had bought tickets to take her to the theater to see Max and Ruby. For those of you that aren't familiar, Max and Ruby is a cartoon on Nick Jr. about two bunnies - Ruby, who's seven and her little brother Max. This is one of Allison's favorite shows - probably because she can relate to it so much. Jeff and I don't really care for it, it's actually somewhat of an annoying show because Max only speaks in one-word phrases. But nonetheless, I heard the play was coming to town and knew she would love it. So we went out to lunch first where Allison enjoyed perusing the menu:

Then we went to the show which was part of a Family Fun series and they had face painting and a craft before the show. Allison enjoyed having her face painted. She asked for a rainbow but got so much more:
The show ended up being very cute and it was only an hour long which was perfect. She must have had a good time because she fell asleep on the way home!
