Allison's First Haircut

Well, we finally did it! Despite the pouring down rain and Jeff's reluctance to cut off those first curls, we took Allison to get her first haircut. One of the reasons it took us so long to take her for her first haircut is because it took forever for her hair to grow. Here was her hair length when she was one:
At age 2 when I could just barely put in a bow:

By age 3 it was finally long enough to put into a pony tail, but after 3 years of watching it grow, we couldn't bear to cut it just yet:

So I've been wanting to take her to get her haircut for a few months now but we always seemed to have one excuse or another. Allison was ready for a haircut but Jeff and I were not. I finally convinced myself it was time (Jeff, on the other hand still needed more convincing). We took her a place called SnipIts which is a cute little kids hair salon. After four years of growing out her hair, in five minutes the haircut was over. Granted, we didn't really have much cut off, just enough to even it out. The stylist styled her hair like a princess - sparkles and all. Here are some pictures:

The finished product Don't worry, the curls came back when it dried!

Doesn't look much different huh?
