A Very Special Birthday Greeting

Today is my grandmother's 88th birthday. She lives in Maryland but we are lucky enough to have her down here for her birthday. She made the trip down last week and is staying at my aunt and uncles. This past weekend we all got together at my parents house to celebrate. My aunt Lily and Uncle Guih were also in town from Maryland. It's always so nice to have family come visit. Here are some pictures, I especially love the ones of the kids with my grandmother. It makes so happy to see that they are able to spend time with her which I think brightens both of their lives.

Here are the kids helping my grandmother blow out the candles on her cake. Luckily there weren't 88 of them or it might have taken quite a while:

Here is my grandmother opening the gift that Allison made for her. She decorated a frame and we put a picture of her and Daniel in it:
And here is everyone looking at my parents wedding album. We were talking about how my mom used to have very long hair, which prompted her to bring out the wedding album so the kids could see. Everyone got a kick out of seeing what they all looked like forty years ago (they celebrate their 40th anniversary this June!). The kids had fun trying to guess who was who in the pictures.
And finally, we were able to get a terrific group photo of everyone. Unfortunately Jeff is not in the picture because someone had to be the photographer but it was a great shot nonetheless:

Happy birthday grandma! It was wonderful to be able to celebrate with you this year!!

Grandma loved the blog. Aunt Esther showed it to her.
