Ode to a Mailbox: Part II

Almost exactly three years ago, I wrote this post about our poor little mailbox that had been maliciously hit by some sort of large vehicle. We ended up having it fixed, which wasn't exactly cheap, but we had no choice. All was well until yesterday morning. I came out to find this:

Well, not exactly that because I took the picture after Jeff had gone outside to check it out and nicely prop it up against the pole. Yes, our mailbox was once again a victim of a hit and run. Jeff took a look at it and thinks he will be able to fix it with his handy dandy engineering and handyman skills. I have faith that he can do so as well so hopefully we won't have to pay someone to come out and fix it. It's just a sad sight to see. On the upside, I don't have to lift Daniel up when he wants to help me get the mail.
