Disney, Oh How We Missed You!

We're home from yet another fun-filled weekend in Orlando. I love living so close and being able to go for a long weekend. Allison was off of school on Friday so we left Thursday afternoon and came back today. We ended up purchasing a Florida resident weekday seasonal pass which means for the next year we can visit any of the Disney parks on an given weekday (Mon-Fri). Of course there are a few blackout dates but they are during time we wouldn't visit anyway because it's a holiday or the middle of summer. This is the first time we've purchased a season pass but basically if we make at least three or four trips we've gotten our money's worth and we already know we'll be back in December during our trip to Gainesville for Jeff's graduation. For this trip, we visited Magic Kingdom. We hadn't actually been to that park since last October so Daniel didn't really remember much of it. But he did remember his favorite ride - Goofy's roller coaster. Yup, he definitely takes after his daddy! But let's start with the first day of our trip. We arrived in Orlando around three o'clock and went straight to our hotel. We were staying a a Marriott timeshare that just opened in June and it was absolutely gorgeous. After we checked into the hotel, we were all quite hungry so we decided to head out in search of some grub. Orlando only has about a a million restaurants to choose from, but we ended up one of our favorite Mexican joints - Chevy's. We don't have one of those down near us so we have to take advantage of it when we go to Orlando. After dinner we needed to walk off all that yummy Mexican food so we headed to Downtown Disney. It was quite festive there with various Halloween decorations setup throughout the area. This is one of my favorite pictures from our trip:
