Time for a "Spruce" Up

Since we moved into our house, I've been wanting to update our landscaping. Well, here we are three years and four months later and we finally did it! I looked long and hard to find a "before" picture. I should have taken one right before they ripped it all out but I just didn't get to it. So I went through the thousands of pictures that I've taken in the past three years and managed to find two that include our front yard. Here's one from a couple years ago (ignore the funny looking girl on the bike):

As you can somewhat see, it wasn't the prettiest landscaping and the walkway to the house was lined with prickly bushes. Luckily the kids and Riley never injured themselves on those but I still wonder why the heck they were there in the first place - maybe to thwart incoming (or outgoing) burglars perhaps? Whatever the reason, I'm just happy to have it all gone and in it's place, we have this:


We also added one new tree:


The next step is to purchase a bench to put in front of this window (behind the large stepping stones):

One more house project can be checked off the (very long) list!
