Auntie Amy and Uncle Jeffy

Our months of anticipation, our little nephew/cousin has arrived. My sister gave birth yesterday afternoon to Miles Bryce Sherman who weighed in at 4lbs, 15 oz. There are a few issues that will require him to undergo surgery and remain in the hospital for a few weeks. We pray that all goes well and Bonnie and Michael will be able to bring him home in a few weeks. Allison and Daniel are very excited about their new cousin. Allison was so excited that she wanted to tell her teacher and her whole class. So last night she made this card:

The teacher had Allison read it to the entire class today. In case you can't decipher her spelling, the card reads "Ms Lynn (her teacher). I have a new cousin. He is a boy. I had the baby shower here at my house." Allison said the picture is of her holding her cousin and the thing hanging from the ceiling is a fan. We are very excited to meet Miles but we have to wait until January to visit since he lives 3000 miles away. We don't have any pictures to share just yet since Miles is hooked up to many machines with several tubes. Hopefully we will get to see a picture of the little guy soon. In the meantime we're hoping for a successful surgery and easy recovery for Bonnie and Miles.
