Allison is such a wonderful big sister. She just loves Daniel so much and it's obvious he feels the same way. They love playing together - don't get me wrong, they fight plenty - but they really enjoy each other's company. I'm trying to enjoy these moments because who knows how long they will last. Today, Allison was playing on the computer and she wrote down a bunch of words that she saw on the screen:
Then she said to me "Mom, can I hang this in Daniel's room so that when he goes to school he'll know everything?" Such a great big sister - she sure is watching out for him. Then she asked me "Will he still be in this room when he goes to school?" I just thought it was the cutest thing. I think she really thought that if he could read what she wrote on that paper, he really would know everything and he would do well in school.
She also loves to read him books. She still can't really read but she can "picture read". Daniel's two favorite books right now are My First Words and My First Animals. Here's a video of her sitting in the chair with him and helping him learn his words:
These are the moments that just melt my heart.

Allison may not know how to read but knowing the subject matter has not stopped many of the teachers that I have met. The reading lesson was precious and it looks like Daniel will be every bit as smart as his sister.
Thats the most I've heard him talk. A fantastic video. love, Grandma
