A Plethora of New Recipes

Can I just say I love Pinterest. If you haven't heard of it yet, you're missing out. I read somewhere that is like the opposite of Facebook. Instead of telling the world what you're doing, you tell the world what you would "like" to be doing. At first I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of ideas I found on there, but then I came to realize that these are simply ideas - it doesn't mean you have to act on each one. Pinterest allows you to post these ideas to different boards which helps to organize this mass amount of information. My favorite topic to search is recipes (go figure). When it comes to recipes, I want to see a picture of the final product. Otherwise, how will I know if the end result is anywhere close to what it is supposed to be. If there is no picture, I usually will not even attempt a recipe. I mean, who publishes a recipe book without pictures? That just doesn't make sense to me. Sure you could taste the end product to see if it is good but I still need my picture! Maybe that explains why I came up with this blog name five years ago. Through Pinterest, you see a picture that someone has pinned (or re-pinned) and then you click on it to be directed to the website where it was originally found. The first recipe I found on Pinterest that I attempted was the lasagna roll ups. They did turn out quite pretty and tasted quite delicious! Today I attempted a second recipe - Glazed Donut Muffins from Sweet Peas Kitchen blog. Here's how they turned out:

Okay, so this may not be the healthiest thing I'll ever make but at least I know what ingredients went into it, unlike a lot of store-bought processed items. And the kids always love a special Saturday morning treat! These were quite a hit with them. My next goal is to figure out how to hide some vegetables in it (which I believe is entirely possible!).
