California Dreamin' Part IV

Another one of our favorite things to do when we visit my sister is take a trip south to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We decided to go on Saturday so that Uncle Michael could join us. Since it was a weekend, it was very crowded but that didn't stop us from seeing all the sea life. Before we went into the aquarium, we dined at a restaurant on Monterey Bay where they gave us an incredible table near the window. We were able to watch the seals play on the rocks below:

After our delicious lunch, we walked to the aquarium and enjoyed a plethora of sea life like this sea turtle:

Allison had a chance to touch a starfish:

The beautiful jellyfish:

And I was fascinated by this crazy type of seahorse:

Allison found her own seahorse:

One of the kids favorite parts of the aquarium is the "magic wave" Basically you stand under a curved glass window and every minute or so a wave covers the outside of the window. Here is Daniel waiting for the wave:

And Allison posing in front of the wave:

I just love the views from the aquarium:

It was a beautiful day and we had a great time, except for when I was almost attacked by an angry bird. I guess he mistook me for a green pig...

Up next...Allison turns 7, California style!
