Allison lost her fifth tooth last night and woke up to find a surprise from the tooth fairy! She had left a note:

Allison realized she had to some work to do. She thought about the clue and then ran to the refrigerator. She opened it up and checked in the fruit drawer. Much to her delight, she found another note inside:

This one took some thinking...where does the tooth fairy fly around...then she put the pieces together...the Earth...and she ran to check her globe! Inside the pocket that holds the book for the globe, she found yet another note:

Seems the tooth fairy had a typo in that note but that didn't stop her from figuring it out. Off she raced to her plasma car where she found her fourth clue:

This was a tough one...she though about her puzzles, her drawings, what else could it be? Not the Legos, not the build-a-bear...she needed a clue. Jeff and I started talking about breakfast. He didn't want oatmeal today...perhaps some eggs and potatoes. "But, I replied, I have no potatoes...the only potato I have is...." And Allison squealed in delight because she had just (coincidentally) figured out the next clue...Mr. Potato Head!! She ran to the Mr. Potato head bin and there it was, clue #5!

It didn't take her long to think of a computer keyboard, but when she checked it, there was no note. So we looked at the clue again..."used to hold"...she remembered that the keyboard used to be upstairs on a computer desk so she ran to the desk and pulled out the tray where the keyboard used to lay. And look, a note!

She jetted off to the bathroom and checked her toothbrush...no note but she knew she was close. She checked in all the drawers in the bathroom...no note...she checked in the bath (not sure why)...no note. So we re-read the last note..."on"...she figured out that she stands on the step stool to brush her teeth. There was no note on top, but she opened it up and found this:
It made for one happy, toothless little girl. And that's the story of what happens when a tooth falls out right before bedtime and the tooth fairy realizes she has no cash...only gifts that don't fit under a pillow.
