Have Bike, Will Travel

We live very close to Allison's school which enables us to not have to drive. Since the school year started, Allison has been riding her scooter and I have been biking with her...that is up until today. We decided this weekend that Allison is finally good enough on her bike to ride to school. She's had the training wheels off for over 6 months but it's been quite hot and humid here the past 6 months to be able to practice riding. The past two weeks however have cooled down a bit and she's had a chance to practice. Once she learned how to balance, she was good to go. She still has a hard time starting every now and then but that'll get easier the more she rides. Before we left this morning she asked me "Are you going to bring a box of band-aids just in case?" Turns out she didn't need that box of Band-Aids. She did great! Looking forward to being able to bike with her to school every day. Our next goal is to have Daniel riding without training wheels. I'm hoping he picks it up at age 4 or 5. Age 7 was a bit too long to wait....
