She is named after our Grandma Sylvia (our mom's mom) who passed away when I was 14 and Bonnie was 16. Her middle name is after Miles, Samara's older brother who passed away last year when he was only 2 months old. It's been a very difficult couple of years for my sister and Michael and I'm so happy that they are able to rejoice in joy of parenthood. Of course it's not easy with the lack of sleep, pain of breastfeeding and dealing with the post-baby recovery but Bonnie and Michael have so much to be thankful for - she is a healthy beautiful baby girl! It's so hard for us to be so far away from her but thanks to modern technology we are able to see her, hear her cry and even talk to her. We've been using Facetime on my sisters iphone and my ipod touch. Allison and Daniel have been so excited to be able to see their cousin on video. It's the next best thing to actually being there. We are planning to go and visit in July and we're hoping the airfares come down so we can afford for all four of us to fly out there! Until them we'll rely on modern technology to help us watch her grow. Congrats Bonnie and Michael!
