Our Trip to Maryland for Gary and Michele's Wedding Part II

While we had a great time visiting with my moms side of the family, the real reason we came to Maryland was for my cousin Gary's wedding (which is my dad's side). The wedding was at 4pm on Sunday so we got to relax all morning and save our energy for the big event. The kids were excited to put on their "fancy" clothes and I couldn't help but take a hundred pictures of them because they looked so darn cute (okay, maybe I'm a little biased). But before they could get dressed, they had to take a bath and get clean! They were excited to use the new animal towels my aunt had bought them, especially Daniel with his monkey towel:

Once they were all clean, it was time to get dressed! Here they are all dressed up, before we left my aunts house:

Now that we were all dolled up, it was off to the wedding! As expected, Daniel fell asleep in the car on the way there. He seemed to enjoy his sleep because he slept right through the ceremony:

While Daniel slept, the rest of us enjoyed watching Gary, who looked very handsome, and Michele, who looked beautiful, exchange vows and become united in marriage:
After the ceremony, we enjoyed the cocktail hour. Here's Daniel and my dad (Jeff was being silly and put Daniel's tie on his yarmulke):
After the cocktail hour, we went into the ballroom and got ready to party! Jeff, Allison, Daniel and I were seated with all of my wonderful cousins. Here's my cousin Brian and his wife Amy:
My sister and I with our beautiful cousins:
Then Allison, Gary and Michele got in on the action:
After the paparazzi photo session, it was time for some dancing! The bride and groom and their awesome first dance (I was quite impressed with my cousin's moves!)
Daniel and Allison got into the action too:
Here's a short video of Daniel and Allison dancing:

Then Daniel danced with papa and Allison danced with Aunt Bonnie:
Next was Allison's favorite part - cake time!
Before the night was over, I wanted to get a shot of the four of us (because I always forget to), but Daniel was none to thrilled with this idea, as you can see:

And last but not least, he was a little better for the final family shot:
It was a wonderful wedding and we really enjoyed hanging out with my family. I miss them already! The next day we had to fly home. I wanted to get one more picture of the kids and snow because it might be awhile before they see it again (there's my grumpyhead again!):

The flight home was good, except for the one big bump of turbulence that took everyone by surprise. After it happened, Allison looked at me and said "What was that?" and I had to explain that sometimes that happens on airplanes, to which she replied "It felt like we were going to crash." We managed to land safely and got back to our car only to find that the battery was dead. We have to credit that one to Daniel. You see, he likes to play with the light switch - you know, the door light above the kids heads in the back seat. He can't reach it when buckled in by sometimes when he gets into the car he plays with it. Apparently he did that when getting into the car on the way to the airport. Luckily help came quickly and we were finally able to go home. Now we get to rest for a couple months before out next trip - New Orleans for Jeff's cousin's wedding!
